There are many formulas for prayer floating around, outlines, and tips on how to pray; many opinions on why certain prayers remain unanswered, and so on.
But that seems like it gives us the wrong understanding of prayer.
It isn’t about outlines, or getting what we want, or praying the right way so that God really understands and changes the things we need changed.
Prayer has always been about relationship.
It has always been about us communicating with God in love and faith.
God’s priority is for us to know him and for him to know us and hear our hearts and for us to grow together in relationship.
When we make prayer about anything other than that we are missing out.
